BodPod

Hit Center

The BodPod is the “Gold Standard” in body composition testing (body fat vs. lean muscle mass) in adults and children, and can accommodate a wide range of populations. A full test only requires about 5 minutes and provides accurate, safe, comfortable, and fast test results. Performing a regular BodPod will allow you to track fitness results, assist in medical weight loss programs, and help determine if an employee is fit for duty.

RMR

Hit Center

The Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) biometric test determines the amount of energy (calories) your body is using while at rest. As your level of exercise increases, your body starts to burn more calories, thus increasing your metabolic rate. RMR testing is a great way to track your wellness program success, assist in medical weight loss programs, help with corporate wellness programs, and aid in employment functional testing.

HIT 90

Hit Center

The HIT 90 test is a comprehensive group of tests designed to show improvement as you progress in your fitness program. The HIT 90 consists of a BodPod, a modified VO2 max assessment, as well as flexibility and muscular endurance testing. This is an ideal bench mark test before you begin your workout program and can be performed quarterly to track your progress.

AAA

Hit Center

The Athletic Abilities Assessment (AAA) is a functionally-based human performance test designed to measure strength, speed, stamina, vertical leap, and agility. This is performed quarterly with all our members in our Athletic Development Program.

VO2 Max

Hit Center

The VO2 max assessment, or maximal oxygen uptake, provides a factor that can determine a person’s capacity to perform sustained exercise and is linked to aerobic endurance. VO2 max refers to the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can utilize during intense exercise. VO2 max testing is great for endurance athletes such as runners, cyclists, Iron Man competitors, tri-athletes, swimmers, and employment based testing for physically demanding jobs such as firefighters, police, and other public safety personnel.

Cardiopulmonary Stress Test

Hit Center

An exercise Stress Test usually involves walking or running on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike while your heart rhythm, blood pressure, and breathing are monitored. A Stress Test is used to evaluate heart health and its ability to perform under stressful situations. Exercise testing is used for wellness programs, fitness evaluations, pre-employment testing for physically demanding jobs (firefighters, police, construction, etc.), and employment functional testing such as fit-for-duty and return-to-work programs.

Nutrition

Hit Center

Education and nutrition are key components to any wellness or athletic development program. HIT Center partners with a Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist for individual consultations and to conduct member education classes on a variety of topics including proper weight loss, weight gain, supplements, pre-game meals, and the importance of recovery nutrition.

Pre-Employment Strength Testing

Hit Center

Employers need to make sure they are hiring employees that can perform the functional demands of the workplace. A Pre-Employment Strength Test ensures employers are hiring a workforce that is functionally ready to perform essential functions while decreasing Workers Compensation injury risk.

AT Services

Hit Center

The HIT Center partners Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainers to help with your injury needs. An athletic trainer is a medical professional available to help if you’ve recently sustained an injury and are worried about it affecting your exercise routine or want to help prevent future injuries.

In addition to injury management and injury prevention, athletic trainers also provide the following services:

Sports Massage: A 30 minute massage geared toward all athletes of all kinds, from world class professionals to weekend joggers. This focuses on areas of the body that are overused or overstressed with the goal of improving recovery time, increasing range of motion, and helping to prevent injury.

Cupping: Cupping Therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine where a cup is placed on the skin to create suction and act as a form of deep tissue massage. This provides many benefits from helping with pain and inflammation to improving blood flow. This technique was made famous by Michael Phelps during the Summer Olympics.

Stretching: A 30 minute stretch session with the goal of promoting recovery and increasing flexibility. Stretching is an important part to everyone’s quality of life and can be equally as important to health and well-being as exercise itself. Benefits of stretching include injury prevention, postural alignment, reduced stress, increased blood circulation, and improved performance whether its on the field or in the workplace.

Taping: Taping can be used to help support injured joints. From ankle sprains to sore wrists, taping can help keep you active while supporting your injured joint. We offer a variety of types from traditional athletic tape to Kinesio Tape.

FMS

Hit Center

Functional Movement Screening (FMS) is a functional assessment that determines muscular weakness and pinpoints specific body regions that need targeted strengthening programs. An FMS is a great tool for preventing injury, avoiding re-injury, returning from surgery, and employees returning to work from workers compensation claims.

Gait Analysis

Hit Center

A Certified Athletic Trainer will utilize exercise science and video analysis to explore your running gait and make suggestions for improvement in order to reduce improper muscle compensation, chronic onset of injury, and improve technique for better performance.
